Dumfriesshire East Community Benefit Group (DECBG)

SUP is working with communities in south Annandale and Eskdale who will receive Community Benefit Funds from both the Ewe Hill 6 and 16 Windfarms, built by Scottish Power Renewables (SPR) just above Langholm.  SUP’s role will be to provide the administration for the Ewe Hill 16 Fund and help the Trustees of DECBG decide which local community projects they want to see supported with the Ewe Hill 16 Fund.

The agreement with SPR has now been signed and the first release of funds is imminent. The Grant Scheme was launched on 8 December and full details are available on our website at http://www.sup.org.uk/windfarm-news.asp.

We are especially keen to see the funds used to support strategic projects which will benefit local communities and the wider area.
